        Test Engineering: Support manufacturing and testing process of disk drive controller products.

                Project leader for disk controller test engineering issues.
                Defined and documented test requirements for disk controller products.
                Analyzed process data to determine test effectiveness.  Implemented corrective action.
                Provided process direction to remote production sites during product design changes.

        Supplier Engineering: Ensure that manufacturing is provided with power supplies and power controllers of the highest attainable quality.

                Team leader of Digital's power supply acquisition team for technical and quality issues.
                Assisted Digital's power supply vendors in improving their own costs and defect rates.

PCA TEST/PROCESS ENGINEER - PCA Test/Process Engineering
September 1984 to April 1987: Iomega Corporation, Roy, UT

        Improved the yield of printed circuit assemblies (PCA's) while reducing the cost of testing.

                Developed in-circuit and automatic functional tests (hardware & software).
                Directed the activities of one other engineer and two technicians for in-circuit test issues.
                Used SPC methods to reduce defects, improve tests, and decrease costs.

        Ensured producibility of new products.

                Analyzed new surface mount technology designs for testability.
                Specified design changes to correct testability deficiencies.
                Worked with development groups to increase the manufacturability of new products.

TEST ENGINEER - Continuation Engineering
June 1983 to September 1984: Sperry Corporation, Salt Lake City, UT

Programmed automatic test equipment to functionally test microprocessor-based PCA's. Field service repair depots used these tests to isolate failures to a single electrical node.
